Joy is a Veterinary Data Taxonomist working for Bitwerx, Inc. With 17 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician with one of the largest equine practices in the world, she joined the Clinical Insights Team at Veterinary Data Services in 2017. While working on a project to transform their existing Enterprise Reporting product, she attended her first Taxonomy Bootcamp in 2018 and was hooked. In 2019 she joined Bitwerx to establish a ground up taxonomy for classifying and reporting veterinary data. Combining years of clinical experience with a love for making connections, she works with the Veterinary Medicine Data team to bring taxonomy solutions to bear on practice data. Additionally, she still acts as a Surgery Anesthesia Consultant at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute.
