Following a background in medical sciences and human nutrition research, Gary has worked for the past 22 years as part of the science team at IFIS Publishing, a not-for-profit academic publisher providing information and educational services in the sciences of food and health. Specifically focusing on production, curation and content development for the FSTA database, a topic specific A&I database established in 1969, while improving content discoverability through development of the FSTA thesaurus over the past 15 years. Currently Senior Content Manager at IFIS, he is responsible for database content and taxonomy development.
