Monica holds a PhD in Chemical Sciences, Processes and Technologies, and has spent several years as academic researcher prior to moving to the corporate world.

She joined Elsevier in 2016 as Technical Content Manager for Knovel, a technical references platform for engineers. Working closely with Search and Technology teams, she develops data representation strategies and engineering controlled vocabularies to support Knovel's various Search features.
