Joyce van Aalten is an independent taxonomy consultant. She has 15+ year experience with taxonomy, thesaurus, ontologies and knowledge graphs projects for a broad range of customers. Some of her customers include Air France/KLM, Philips, EEAS, Thesaurus for Health Care and Welfare and the Thesaurus for the Dutch House of Representatives. Joyce is specialized in taxonomy management tools and the possibilities of metadata/taxonomy within information management systems, like Microsoft365/SharePoint. She frequently shares her knowledge via workshops, talks at conferences, articles, and she is co-author on Taxonomies: Practical Approaches to Developing and Managing Vocabularies for Digital Information (ISBN9781783304813) and an open text book on findability (ISBN 9789492388001).
