Bob is Chief Information Architect at Thomson Reuters. He has worked in the information industry for 32 years, for the majority of that time specialising in information for financial markets and investment management. He focuses on cross-company efforts to explore new business approaches to information use, and on forming target information architecture and core information policies. As well as shaping internal information supply chains, he led exploration of the potential for use of Linked Data and Open Data in and by Thomson Reuters, resulting in the company joining the Open Data Institute as a Partner and releasing the open data PermID.org service. Bob helped author the white papers resulting from the Thomson Reuters / ODI collaboration: ‘Creating value with identifiers in an open data world' and ‘Shareable by Default'. He also championed Thomson Reuters joining W3C, and is their ‘advisory council' representative at that body.
