I am a trained translator, techncial author and terminologist. After several positions in automobile, airline, telecommunications and producing industry, I started in 2011 to work on my own as a business consultant for terminology and translation management. I offer all kind of services in the field of terminology and translation management like to design and build up terminology databases, implement processes, coach new employees, do project management or help out as a freelancer when there is a resource shortage. Amongst those projects I have assisted with terminological knowhow to create a new product hierarchy used for web navigation as well as for creating automatically the table of contents of their multi-lingual product catalogues for about 18'000 products (more than 60'000 articles). As a technical author I have applied controlled vocabularies for consistent authoring. In other projects I have implemented multi-lingual controlled vocabularies to support design engineers to name consistently all parts and assemblies of their machines and plants and to assist master data management with consistent article descriptions in their ERP systems. My latest customer project was to create the taxonomy of a document library in in SharePoint. And last but not least I am about to obtain a post-graduate degree in Knowledge Management.
