She aims to raise awareness about the availability of information sources and help maximize their use. Barbie promotes innovative use and management of data, information, and knowledge to enhance clients' profitability and growth. She is a frequent speaker at library, information, and business conferences globally, and is also a prolific author. Her recent publications include an AI Corner column in Computers in Libraries magazine and a series of articles for The Information Advisor's Guide to Internet Research newsletter. Additionally, she teaches Knowledge Management for Library Juice Academy.
