Joann Fogleson is the current Director of Publishing Technology at the American Society of Civil Engineers. She has been with ASCE for the last 20 years. At ASCE she has worked in many different areas, including production, marketing, and technology. Joann started with the public library system, where she had her first taste of technology. The internet was young and online library catalogues, along with digital databases were in the infant stage. Today she oversees five different platforms, figuring out how to wrangle metadata along with analytical data.
