Following a successful career as a translator, Melissa began developing and managing taxonomies and metadata in 2019. Clients include the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the National Kidney Foundation, and the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
Melissa’s prior experience translating medical language from Spanish and Catalan to English has given her the ability to craft unambiguous, resonant language that describes clients’ information ecosystems from their own perspectives. Having lived as an expat for seven years, she is skilled at identifying and challenging assumptions to help clients better articulate and realize their vision for their content.
