Business Analyst & Information Architect
The Understanding Group
Daniel O'Neil is a pure analyst. His core passion is to find ways to help people better describe how to envision, plan, and build complex systems.
This passion took him on a journey through the software development lifecycle, from database designer and software engineer through requirements, systems, and enterprise business analysis, and ultimately high-level strategy. During this journey he managed and executed taxonomy and data design projects in the the publishing, mortgage, pharmaceutical, and online advertising industries.
In 2012 Daniel joined The Understanding Group after learning about Information Architecture, a technique for building effective, resilient, and delightful software. It’s been a fun ride. He’s thrilled to be at TUG, where finding the core truths in complex problems is a daily part of the job.
