Joanne Claussen has been working in the nexus between technology and content for 30 years. She is currently Director of Content Enrichment at Thomson Reuters, focusing on products in the risk and compliance space. Most recently Joanne was part of a select team assigned to a breakthrough project to apply IBM's Watson question-answering technology to legal and compliance research. For that project, she led the teams that created Watson training data and tested the relevancy of Watson results. Joanne holds a Master of Library and Information Science degree from the University of Illinois and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Iowa, and is co-inventor on three granted patents related to information retrieval.
