Emily Bulger is the Senior Taxonomy Manager for Indeed.com, the world's #1 job site. She leads the Search Relevance team, which includes both query management and a growing team of multilingual taxonomists. Prior to Indeed, Emily worked as a taxonomist at an early stage start-up and at XO Group, home of TheKnot.com.

She has an MSIS from The University of Texas School of Information, where she focused on using metadata to create context and connections.

Emily's previous work reflects her diverse interests: she's been a teacher, editor, social media manager, professional paper person, and librarian, among other things. She's drawn to jobs at the intersection of technology and language.
